Art Deco eagle on the exterior.
From Flickr:

At first I was mystified why I could not find this on Google Maps streetview. All I saw was an archer statue where I could have swarn this statue was. Once I got a look at a photo gallery of the area I came to realize this was the base for that archer statue. When I took this picture I saw no trace of the archer, not even his feet. I wasn’t able to find the name of this work, but it was done by Carl Milles.

M… Milan
Stazione Centrale (Central Station), Milan, ItalyPhoto by Davide Ferronato
During my several visits to Milan I found this station compelling and yet very, very odd. Its architectural style (see below) is mixed and inside it seems rather dark and foreboding, yet there are amazing sites to be seen, like all the Deco mosaics. Actually I guess it’s almost representative of all Milan, which has a totally different feel from any other city I’ve visited in Italy and a is a total architectural mash-up.
From Flickr:

Milano Centrale is the main railway station of Milan, Italy, and one of the main railway stations in Europe. The station is a railway terminus and was officially inaugurated in 1931
The station has no definite architectural style, but is a blend of many different styles, especially Liberty and Art Deco, but not limited to those. It is adorned with numerous sculptures. “The ‘incongruous envelope of stone’ (Attilio Pracchi) of this gigantic and monumental building dominates Piazza Duca d’Aosta.”
