Cheever’s Café occupies the former Cheever’s Flowers. The building appears to be 1930s or 1940s.

About the Source
This image comes from an amazing book called Boutiques et magasins (Boutiques and Stores). Published in 1929 and available in its entirely via NYPL digital archives, it seems to be a picture book of the latest in commercial design in the the late 1920s. There are photos and drawings of shops, bookstores, etc. in France, Germany, The Netherlands, etc.
