The Roundhouse Restaurant, San Francisco, California
Historic 1938 Photo, San Francisco Historical Photograph Collection
Woman on balcony of The Roundhouse restaurant near the Golden Gate Bridge. The restaurant closed in the 70s and sources I found say it’s now used as a visitor center (with a view).
From the San Francisco Public Library’s (amazing) archive:
On back: “When the directors of the Golden Gate Bridge & Highway District decided to construct a restaurant at the Toll Plaza on the Bridge, they selected a sight that offers one of the most magnificent panoramas in the world. View of “The Roundhouse”, with Mrs. Carl Wilke in the foreground and the Bridge in the background.”.
