“The Chrysler Building II - NYC”
Monotype via MyNewYorkCity
I reallllly like this one. Notably I already have a 4 ft. high photo of this building on the wall of my apartment.
From the artist:
This is an original illustration, monotype - titled “The Chrysler Building II- NYC”.
This is part of my “New York. New York” series.
Please see pic #1 for the full image.
The second has been cropped for better listing purposes.
This image is a one-of-a-kind monotype print - illustration . This is an original and is NOT a reproduction.
A monotype is produced by painting a picture on a flat surface of glass, plexiglass or metal, and transferring it onto a sheet of paper by means of pressure. There is always an element of surprise in the resulting print due to the force of the pressure of the rollers on the ink and plate. Because of this unknown factor, creating monotypes is a very exciting process. I love to continue working on the monotype by applying colored pencils, ink and watercolors.
“The Chrysler Building II” illustration was done using water paint, acrylic, wax, charcoal, ink on paper.
The image is - 14 wide x 22” tall.
The surface of the illustration is very fragile, so please be careful and do not scratch it.
All illustrations are packaged with care. Shipped via USPS.
Signed and dated.
Thank you!
